Upcoming Borderlands 2 DLC Gets New Vault Hunter

Gearbox has revealed today; during a panel at SXSW, that a new playable Vault Hunter will be coming to Borderlands 2 in upcoming DLC. Gearbox showed a teaser preview, revealing some info to what you can expect in the new DLC. The teaser revealed this line “deep beneath Pandora, an experiment has escaped. Bandits beware, a new Vault Hunter is coming. More mayhem awaits.” This new DLC sounds promising, hopefully Gearbox can deliver. Because the DLC for Borderlands 2 has been hit and miss so far.

Gearbox hasn’t revealed when this new DLC would be available to download; but has said that the new DLC would be available to those who purchased the season pass for Borderlands 2, and Gearbox franchise director Matt Armstron has said “DLC is announced on a very tight schedule, and I don’t think you’ll have to wait long until you see that character.”

Borderlands 2 has had three DLC expansions so far, Captain Scarlett and Her Pirate’s Booty, Mr. Torgue’s Campaign of Carnage and Sir Hammerlock’s Big Game Hunt.
